The next Australasian Shorebird Conference will be held in Adelaide at a venue yet to be decided.
Australasian Shorebird Conferences are held at a time and location to focus on local issues and to provide the best opportunity for attendees to see shorebirds at key shorebird sites in the company with local experts, as well as to hear about the latest research and developments in Australia and the wider East Asian Australasian Flyway.
Although a theme for ASC 2012 has not been set at this stage expressions of interest are invited for papers or posters on migratory and non-migratory shorebirds and their habitats in the Asia Pacific region.
The conference organisers endeavour to encourage researchers from other countries in the Flyway, as well as Australians, by providing financial assistance for travel and accommodation.
